For the Valley Humane Society's 2024 annual charity event, I created a series of five themed posters inspired by 1920s "Wanted" posters to complement the event's Roaring Twenties theme. Working with real adoptable pets featured by the organization, I incorporated their actual photos and adoption information while reimagining classic Western poster conventions into a playful, pet-friendly campaign. Familiar phrases like "Wanted: Dead or Alive" became "For Adoption" and "Safe and Sound," while humorous "remarks" replaced criminal offenses with each pet's everyday quirks and personality traits.
By adapting a recognizable visual style into something approachable and engaging, the posters served as decorative event pieces while encouraging guests to connect with the animals in a memorable way. This project was especially rewarding because it combined creative storytelling with community impact, and following the event, all five featured pets were adopted into new homes.
