This interactive family tree explores alternative ways of navigating information by organizing my family through both generations and our shared passion for sports. Rather than following only a traditional family tree structure, I created a secondary navigation system that allows users to explore relatives through their favorite basketball, football, and baseball teams. Team pages provide historical information and notable players, while each family member's profile explains the personal connections behind their favorite teams, creating a more engaging way to discover relationships across the family.
Using Figma, I focused on creating an interface that felt intuitive and easy to explore. Every page includes multiple navigation paths, allowing users to move both vertically through the site's hierarchy and horizontally between related teams or family members without becoming lost. I also incorporated subtle hover animations to provide visual feedback and reinforce interactive elements. By combining clear information architecture with thoughtful interaction design, the project encourages exploration while demonstrating how multiple navigation systems can coexist within a single interface.
